

Taylor's Story
Taylor recently completed 4 years of running track and cross country for Texas Tech University, where her main focus was the track 10k. She had the opportunity to be a 4-time competitor at the Big XII Cross Country Championship and a 3-time competitor at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championship with her time at Texas Tech. Taylor also had the opportunities to race across the country in places like California, Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Oklahoma, Nevada, and more. Additionally, she served as the President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and was the Texas Tech representative for the Big XII Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for 2 years where she helped advocate well-being on behalf of student-athletes in the NCAA space.
Before college, Taylor ran her first 2 years at Brady High School in Brady, Texas and then moved to Schulenburg High School in Schulenburg, Texas where she graduated in 2021. While in high school, she was a 3 time state cross country qualifier, 2 time regional cross country champion, 4 time state track qualifier split between the 3200m and 1600m events, and 2 time regional champion in the 1600m and 3200m in 2021. Her biggest accomplishment of high school was finishing 2nd at state in the 3200m to round off her senior year.
Taylor has currently completed 2 full marathons and continues to marathon train with hopes of breaking 3 hours. She graduated in 2024 with a degree in Agricultural Communications and is currently pursuing her Masters in Agricultural Leadership at Texas Tech University. Looking forward, she plans to enter into student-athlete leadership development at a Division I university or go into teaching and coaching cross country and track at the high school level.
